Sean Adrean M.D.
Dr. Adrean is a Board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in treatment of diseases of the retina and vitreous and is senior partner of Retina Consultants of Orange County.He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, San Diego with a B.S. in chemistry/biochemistry and a minor in biology. After graduating from Loma Linda School of Medicine, where he was awarded membership into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, he continued as a resident in Ophthalmology at the University of California, Davis and did his vitreo-retinal fellowship at the Kresge Eye Institute at Wayne State University. Dr. Adrean has gone on to publish numerous articles, and he lectures across the United States on various vitreo-retinal topics including new treatment strategies in age-related macular degeneration.

Donald Serafano, MD
Dr. Serafano was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He was awarded a four year academic scholarship to Villanova University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology & Chemistry. He was awarded a second academic scholarship this time to Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. After completing his studies Dr. Serafano served as a Captain and General Medical Officer of the United States Air Force. He received an honorable discharge before going on to complete both his general internship and his fellowship residency in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He has been practicing general ophthalmology with a special interest in cataracts, lens implants, refractive surgery and glaucoma since 1978. He is on the advisory board for the development of phacoemulsificaton (a method of small incision cataract removal), foldable lens implants and no stitch cataract surgery. Dr.Serafano has given many scientific presentations and performed live surgery at symposiums all over the world. He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Southern California. Dr. Serafano's numerous awards include being listed as an Honored Professional in both the American Directory of Who's Who in Executives and Business and The National Register's Who's Who in Executives and Professionals 2000 Edition. Dr. Serafano has also been selected by his peers to be included in Best Doctors in America and Los Angeles Magazine's The Essential Guide to Los Angeles Best Doctors. The American Academy of Ophthalmology recognized his achievements by giving him the Honor Award in 1996. He has served as President (1993-1994) of the Rotary Club of Long Beach, California. Dr. Serafano is Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has completed a Fellowship in LASIK surgery and was certified in the VISX Excimer Laser System in 1994. Steven Ferrucci, OD, FAAO
Dr. Steven Ferrucci, a 1994 graduate of the New England College of Optometry, completed his Residency in Primary Care/Hospital Based/Geriatric Optometry at the Sepulveda VA Hospital in Sepulveda CA. He is currently Chief of Optometry at the Sepulveda VA Ambulatory Care Center and Nursing Home. He is also the Residency Director at that site, and holds the position of Associate Professor at the Southern California College of Optometry. His emphasis includes therapeutic treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Ferrucci has lectured extensively, with a special interest in Diabetes, Diabetic Eye Disease, Age-Related Macular Degeneration, and Fluorescein Angiography.He has also published several articles in optometric journals, including The New England Journal of Optometry, Optometry and Vision Science, and Optometry: Journal of The AOA. He is an active member in the American Optometric Association and the National VA Optometric Association, as well as a fellow in both the American Academy of Optometry and the Optometric Retinal Society. He currently serves on the American Optometric Association, Nutrition and Ocular Health Committee.

Lawrence J. Geisse, M.D.
Dr. Geisse was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the eldest of 10 children. He was appointed to and attended the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, and was inducted into the exclusive Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Dr. Geisse then played Professional Soccer in St. Louis, Missouri, for one year before deciding to attend Medical School at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, where he was awarded membership into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He was awarded a Fellowship in Pathology during medical school and spent a year in research and intensive study on complex medical problems. He completed his Internship at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, before going to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, for his Ophthalmology Residency. During these years, Dr. Geisse authored and published a number of papers dealing with a diverse range of topics including tumors of the iris, early detection of cancers, personal space, and laser treatments for a variety of diseases and problems. He has spoken at a number of national and international meetings, and is a favorite local speaker on eye diseases and the prevention of eye diseases.Dr. Geisse was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1984. He was certified on the VISX LASER/LASIK system in 1994.

L. Wayne Freeman, M.D.
Dr. Freeman grew up in West L.A. and received both his undergraduate Public Health degree and M.D. degree from UCLA. After a surgery internship at Harbor-UCLA in Torrance he moved to Long Beach in 1976 to begin his Ophthalmology residency at UC Irvine and the Long Beach VA Hospital.In 1979 he received his Eye Specialty Certification and went on to do a fellowship in cataract surgery and lens implants in Arizona with one of the world's leading eye surgeons. He became a Fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1980. Dr. Freeman then began private practice specializing in cataract surgery and lens implants and mentored several local surgeons in newer surgical techniques.He has been on both the clinical teaching faculties at UC Irvine and the Long Beach VA Medical Center. He went on to become chairman of numerous committees and departments at Los Alamitos Medical Center including Chairman of the Departments of Ophthalmology and Surgery and served as Chief of Staff in 2000-2001. He has been a member of the Governing Board of Los Alamitos Hospital for many years and became Governing Board Chairman in 2006, serving a two year term. He now serves the medical center as the ongoing chairman of the Patient Safety Committee, and continues to actively practice general ophthalmology and participate in clinical studies.

Frank Briganti, BA, Pharm.D
Dr. Briganti specializes in forensic pharmacology. He has diligently served Los Alamitos Medical Center as a senior staff pharmacist for 35 years and has been a former Director of Pharmacy. His extensive experience and knowledge of drugs and drug interactions makes him a most sought after source of information by physicians.
